Challenge
To deliver the maximum potential for a residential development across a beachside site in the fast-developing Port Coogee Marina Village Precinct in Perth.
Solution
WMK provided a design solution which proposed 38 units of varying mix and typology arranged over 5 above ground levels and 1 basement. The 2726sqm development features a rooftop communal recreational terrace with a pool and bbq facilities. The design sits softly in its setting displaying a palette of raw, natural materials with a strong focus on landscaping balanced with more striking, contemporary architectural elements.
Outcome
An architecturally distinct yet context-appropriate design which contributes to the Marina Village and Port Coogee residential community and its vibrant, welcoming atmosphere.
The development aims to contribute to the live, work, play dynamic of the area, and provides a diverse, intelligent solution that is flexible, provides amenity and a high quality of living for residents and the precinct as a whole.
