Challenge

Following the successful revitalisation of Mounties entry and port cochere, WMK was engaged to create a 300-seat modern Chinese restaurant to be used for yum cha and a-la-carte dining. The space was to feature a live seafood offering and two private dining rooms.

Solution

Breaking away from the typical club restaurant experience, WMK has created a design that celebrates Asian street food culture within a casual atmosphere.

Designed to attract a younger clientele as well as families, the contemporary design features graffiti art, bold patterned flooring, copper detailing, feature ceilings with acoustic properties, and neon lighting.

The space also features a show kitchen where guests can watch dumplings being hand-crafted.

WMK created the logo, signage and graphics which feature throughout the venue.

Outcome

The new restaurant, with it's confident brand identity and bold, youthful interiors, has proven to be a popular destination - creating a new calibre offering for both the club and the region.
