Challenge
The brief was to develop a new market-leading approach to the interiors of a luxury aged care residence housed in refurbished Edwardian buildings connected with a new link building and incorporating low-care, high-care and dementia facilities.
Solution
The design concept is aimed at providing a stylish, hotel-like environment exuding warmth, colour and character with larger bedrooms and more intimate living and dining areas.
High quality finishes, furniture and artworks with a personal touch feature throughout residents’ rooms, communal and activity areas.
The design also includes a multi-sensory Snoezelen room as well as executive offices and administration areas.
Outcome
The development represents a new standard in design for residential aged care and has won several awards.
