CHALLENGE
RSM, one of Australia’s leading professional services firms, engaged WMK to create a new head office at 1 Martin Place, Sydney. The 3,600sqm space, across two podium levels, needed to overcome limited natural light and blank facades while delivering a workplace that would attract people back into the office and act as a desirable destination for staff and clients.
SOLUTION
WMK adopted an agile planning approach, introducing a central interconnecting stair to enhance flow between client areas and staff amenities. Biophilic elements and a calm, neutral material palette were used to bring warmth, light, and a sense of wellbeing. Generous breakout and amenity spaces were prioritised, creating an environment that balances focus, collaboration, and social connection.
OUTCOME
The result is a contemporary workplace that reflects RSM’s professional identity while supporting a flexible, people-first way of working. Staff enjoy an uplifting environment with high-quality amenities and abundant greenery, reinforcing the office as a vibrant destination of choice.
