CHALLENGE
WMK was engaged by FDC to undertake minor works to the previously completed speculative suite on level 8. In response to a potential tenant’s interest in the space, modifications were necessary to align with their specific needs. The challenge was to seamlessly integrate these new modifications within the existing space while aligning with the established design narrative.
SOLUTION
The renovation of the floor of the speculative suite entailed dividing the tenancy into two, one of which was to be transformed into the new home of BankVic.
Tailoring the suite to suit BankVic’s needs involved incorporating additional meeting rooms/offices, an expanded kitchen area and the inclusion of lockers, joinery and furniture. Through close collaboration with the BankVic team, WMK incorporated branding elements throughout the space. These elements not only complemented the existing design but also provided an opportunity to infuse the BankVic distinctive identity into the environment.
OUTCOME
Through careful coordination and consideration, new modifications were seamlessly integrated within the existing space. The forward-thinking approach that underpinned the initial flexible speculative suite design assisted with the smooth transition into a split tenancy that addressed the distinct needs of the tenant.
