737 BOURKE ST

MELBOURNE

CHALLENGE

The End of Trip facilities at 737 Bourke Street involved extending and upgrading the existing facilities while providing access to building tenancies throughout the entire construction phase.
This involved a series of staged works and close collaboration with CBRE, the builder and other project consultants.
Another design challenge involved providing a new high-profile entry from the main lobby which was visible from Bourke Street, meaning the design language needed to stand out while integrating with the existing built environment.

SOLUTION

WMK delivered a clever design solution that used existing locations of services where possible to limit the disruption to tenants and minimise cost.
WMK aimed to provide a light and bright but warm design language giving the users a relaxed sensation similar to being in a day spa.
The design provides the maximum amount of amenity and the design feels spacious and luxurious.

OUTCOME

With the increased emphasis on health and wellbeing, WMK’s inviting End of Trip facility encourages occupants to be active.
WMK has since been engaged to design the main lobby to further heighten the building’s profile.
