CHALLENGE
WMK was engaged by Brookfield Properties to design a new look for the heritage listed Lisgar House at 32 Carrington St, complementing the complete revitalisation of Carrington Street with the recent delivery of Brookfield Place Sydney.
SOLUTION
The design incorporates a refurbishment of the 8 storey building’s ground plane, retail shop front, on floor base build, an adaptive self-service wellness area and a new fully accessible EOT.
WMK’s design takes the building’s historic archways and façade inward and delivers an inviting minimalistic contemporary new layout with stylishly appointed finishes throughout.
OUTCOME
The facilities of 32 Carrington are a sophisticated addition to the boutique commercial building that has been reimagined into a heritage gem within the centre of the bustling Wynyard precinct.
