About the Role
This role provides the following opportunities:
- Multi-sector project opportunities covering residential, hotels, office, and education
- Multi-residential design and delivery of large-scale projects
- Communication directly with clients, external and internal stakeholders
- Devise project briefs and relevant scopes of work
- Delivering concept designs independently or with a team. Oversee and prepare project documentation and specifications suitable for client sign off and development applications, tender, building approval, and construction
- On-site construction phase involvement
You Will Need
- Strong computer capabilities, including Revit, Enscape, Adobe InDesign and MS Office Suite
- Registered Architect or Master’s Degree in Architecture
- At least 2-3 years post registration experience

WMK is seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Interior Designer to lead and support our rapidly expanding Branded Rollout and Commercial Refurbishment portfolio. This is a pivotal new role within our studio, designed to lead and grow upcoming major national rollout opportunities, provide leadership stability, and strengthen our capability across key growth sectors in 2026 and beyond. About the role
As the Senior Interior Designer – Branded Rollout, you will play a central role in leading significant multi‑site programs, including major banking rollouts, commercial repositioning and refurbishment, and residential typologies. You’ll work closely with directors, team leads, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design, documentation, and project outcomes for retail banking rollouts, with the opportunity to work across a variety of sectors.
This role also provides critical design and documentation support to our Lifetime Care team, who are experiencing rapid and sustained growth with an expanding multi-site pipeline forecast for 2026.
Key responsibilities
Branded Rollout Leadership
- Lead new rollout projects, including major retail banks, from concept through to delivery.
- Support existing rollout work where required, ensuring consistency and quality across national programs.
- Produce high-quality design development, documentation, and specifications aligned with brand, compliance and project objectives.
- Oversee consultant coordination, approvals, site responses, and project communication.
Commercial Refurbishment
- Lead interior projects such as ground floor lobby experiences, including cafes and business lounges, on-floor lift lobby upgrades, workplace amenities, WCs, and End of Trip (EOT) facilities.
- Deliver high-quality concept design, spatial planning, finishes, detailed documentation, and project delivery.
Lifetime Care program support
- Support multisite project delivery through detailed documentation, consultant coordination, and roll‑out standardisation.
- Assist in scaling the capability for a rapidly growing team with a significant forward pipeline.
- Team Leadership & Studio Contribution
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level designers across design, documentation, and project processes.
- Collaborate across WMK’s national teams and actively engage in knowledge-sharing and leadership development.
- Contribute to fee proposals, resource planning, and project profitability targets.
- Actively participate in professional development, internal initiatives, and the WMK design culture.
What you bring
- 7+ years’ experience in interior design, with strong exposure to branded environments, national rollouts, or multisite programs.
- Strong proficiency in Revit, with the capability to mentor others.
- Exceptional skills in design development, documentation, and client communication.
- Understanding of NCC, DDA, Australian Standards, and construction practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
- Leadership capability, collaboration skills, and desire for professional growth.
- Experience in other sectors, e.g. commercial refurbishment, workplace design, hospitality or residential.(advantageous).
