WMK is delighted to receive the prestigious award for the 2012 Australian Timber Design Award for Office Fitout Featuring Veneers for the ASX Exchange Square refurbishment project on Bridge Street, Sydney.
In its thirteenth year, this prestigious award is Australasia's most recognised stamp of excellence in timber design, awarding Architectural and Interior Design projects that explore the dynamic and versatile application of timber. The ASX Exchange Square project beat some strong competition to take the award in the category of Commercial Office Fitout featuring Veneers.
John Andreas, Director of WMK and design director for the ASX project, was presented the award at a gala dinner on Thursday evening at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.
Timber veneer used in the project were sourced from Briggs Veneers, one of Australia’s most respected and experienced suppliers of timber veneers.
This is the second award that the ASX Exchange Square has collected since its completion in late 2011. Early this year, WMK received an award for excellence in lighting design at the NSW IES Lighting Society Lighting Awards.
