17,106,925. That's a lot of steps and the combined total number WMK team members took to help raise money for Cerebral Palsy Alliance's Steptember Challenge.
Steptember is a charity event that challenges people to take 10,000 steps each day in September in order to raise awareness and funds for children living with Cerebral Palsy. Considering the average office worker takes around 3000 steps each day, Steptember was a great way for our team to boost their fitness whilst helping the 1 in 500 Australian children born with this condition each year.
WMK's Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane offices were all involved and with of 60 WMK'ers participating, the competition was fierce!
By the end of the 30 days challenge, the team had not only walked a lot of steps but raised $8,263 thanks to the very generous donations from friends, family, colleagues, clients, and suppliers. Fundraising isn’t over until 31st October, so keep donations can still be made at https://bit.ly/2MA5y0r
Alexandra Glaverina, WMK's Charity Group leader says "competition aside, it is great to be part of an organisation that values healthy activity and cares enough about Australians living with cerebral palsy to actually step up and help out. It was a fantastic experience and heaps of fun!"
A special shout out to all of the donors, thank you we couldn't have done it without you!
