To raise money in support of Legacy, WMK held an ANZAC Day bake-off on Tuesday 26 April.
Encouraging a bit of friendly office competition, the Sydney office was split into teams and asked to create one Australian or New Zealander dish – think lamingtons, Pavlovas, or even the humble ANZAC biscuit.
The team was treated to delicious chocolate raspberry Pavlovas, Tim Tam cakes, lemon macadamia cakes, chocolate crackles, and sausage rolls (that disappeared far too quickly!)
All the treats were available for gold coin donation, with all money raised going to Legacy – an organisation that cares for the families of deceased and incapacitated veterans. Today Legacy's service assists over 80,000 widows and 1,800 children and dependants with a disability.
“We had a great morning – looks like we have some amazing bakers in our midst!” said organiser and interior designer, Loretta Nagy.
“Thanks to everyone who got involved, and thanks to WMK for matching our employee contribution dollar-for-dollar – Legacy is a very worthwhile cause.”
