These rich tones and curvaceous joinery aren’t from an elegant residence – it’s WMK’s latest health care project: an ultra-high-end plastic surgery consultation space and treatment room in Double Bay.
The Luxa Room at renowned plastic surgeon Doctor Tavakoli’s Sydney surgery feels more like an opulent hotel than a consultation space. It’s all part of WMK’s approach to creating welcoming lifestyle spaces – even for medical environments.
WMK designed a consultation space and treatment room masquerading as a luxurious residential environment; perfect for the clinic’s discerning clientele.
To create a space that is opulent and not clinical, WMK selected finishes more commonly seen in residential environments such as carpet, timber veneer, velvet and leather. In contrast to the typical cold, white, clinical environments, dark tones were selected for timbers and carpets, combined with warm metals and jewel coloured furniture while bespoke joinery cleverly conceals its medical purpose.
As a result, Doctor Tavakoli now has a much larger and more sumptuous consultation space and office – perfect for consulting with his high-profile clientele and in line with his premium positioning in the market.
