In a recent design competition, WMK designed a permeable, efficient, and green development for Iglu Student Accommodation which aims to promote an attraction to the precinct through its building character and aesthetics.
Forefront to the design strategy was the context in which the site sits in terms of the current and future urban environment, cultural sensitivities, and commercial prosperity of the district.
The design focussed heavily on the amenity afforded to its users both public and private with major gestures of public space and a carefully considered arrangement of the residential towers to afford space and outlook, capitalising on the site’s strongest attributes.
