WMK Sydney team members have banded together to support a fundraising initiative ‘Dance for Life’ for Reachout.com, Australia’s leading online mental health service for young people.

ReachOut is a not-for-profit organisation providing practical support to help young people tackling mental health issues, in particular those who may be struggling with bullying, depression and contemplating suicide. ReachOut was started in 1996 in direct response to Australia’s growing suicide rates. Out of the one in four young people who have a mental health disorder, only 30% are accessing help.

The flagship service Reachout.com increases young people’s knowledge of mental health and wellbeing, increases their help-seeking skills, and ensures they feel less alone in times of need. Money raised by WMK will go towards reaching these young people in need.

WMK is one of ten architecture and design firms that will perform a three minute dance in front of hundreds of people in a bid to raise awareness and funds for ReachOut. The WMK team is asking suppliers and clients to rally behind them to support this vital initiative - simply visit https://danceforlife.raisely.com/wmkarchitecture.

“We understand the importance of ReachOut and their efforts to create a network of encouraging people for those who may not have the support they need. We are excited to be a part of this great cause and to help others!” said Melanie Wright, WMK Interior Designer and Dance For Life organiser.

The event will be held on the 17 March at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sydney.

Dance For Life is organised by Business Interiors and Thinking Works and is kindly supported by KnowledgeCore.

Thank you for your support!
