Adina Chermside Brisbane has featured in The Hotel Conversation, announcing its upcoming opening in April 2026.
WMK's ambition was to create a contemporary apartment-style hotel that feels intrinsically connected to place, both environmentally responsive and grounded in the local character of Chermside. Working in close collaboration with Limitless Developments and TFE Hotels, we sought to deliver a cohesive guest experience that extends from the building’s architectural expression through to the interior atmosphere.
The building form is shaped to optimise natural light and orientation, with stepped massing that brings daylight deep into corridors and guest areas while reinforcing a strong architectural identity. Horizontal elements and screening provide shade and privacy in response to Brisbane’s subtropical climate, while operable windows allow guests to access natural ventilation. Integrated planting and landscaped arrival spaces soften the urban edge and establish a welcoming sense of transition on approach.
Externally, the material palette draws on the established tones and textures of the surrounding neighbourhood — brickwork, rendered surfaces and warm terracotta hues — ensuring the building sits comfortably within its context. Passive solar principles, water-saving initiatives and intelligent room controls further strengthen the project’s environmental performance.
Internally, the design continues this narrative of connection and comfort. Inspired by the calm of nearby reserve landscapes, the interiors use layered natural materials and warm finishes to create a welcoming, residential feel. From the lobby and café/bar to the meeting spaces and fully equipped apartments, the environment is designed to support business travellers, families and longer-stay guests with equal ease.
Positioned moments from major retail, public transport and key health infrastructure — and within convenient reach of Brisbane’s future Olympic venues, Adina Chermside forms part of a broader transformation of the precinct into a vibrant accommodation and lifestyle hub.
