Challenge

Following the unprecedented success of the multi-award-winning Lansdowne Gardens on Manns Avenue in Neutral Bay, Cranbrook Care commenced work on a second stage of the development – Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe.

Occupying a smaller site located further from the harbour, the challenge was to raise the level of features and amenity even further than stage one to compensate for the lack of harbour views and a more compact site.

While continuing the palette of materials and colours from the first stage, WMK designed a series of more contemporary, refined public spaces which are more akin to a luxury boutique hotel than an aged care facility.

A rich language of design details provides a sophisticated environment and includes natural timbers, burnished bronze and limestone.

Special features such as illuminated onyx and woven silk wall finishes add to the overall impact and success of the interiors.

Outcome

Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe immediately set a new benchmark for premium aged care environments in Australia, cementing Cranbrook Care’s position as a preeminent provider of superior aged care services and facilities.
