Challenge

The client brief was to redevelop a 14,400m2 car sales and service complex across three buildings that will set a new design benchmark for BMW and Mini and bring together a highly technical service and maintenance division with sophisticated client and sales facilities.

 

The design and planning also had to allow BMW and Mini to remain operational throughout the project.

Solution

WMK designed a new two-storey BMW showroom, and a new single-storey showroom for the Mini, refurbished the used-car showroom,and designed a four-storey high-tech service workshop with three levels of underground car parking.

 

The design also features innovative sustainable design using solar panels,energy efficient building plant and services, and water-saving initiatives.

Outcome

The $15mil design rolled out the new BMW corporate design in this major high-profile,technologically-complex,branded environment that showcases the iconic brand as a leader in the car industry.
