Challenge

Design 26 storeys of offices for AMP’s head office building at Circular Quay, using intelligent strategic planning, workflow re-engineering, and a ‘no office’ policy that will manage constant change.

Solution

WMK upped the ante, proposing to design AMP’s office of the future to reflect AMP’s brand and positioning that would engage staff and thereby impact clients.

WMK workshopped operational flows and developed a ‘village’ office design based on high team flexibility in open plan workspaces, 5 types of alternative work/meet zones to suit varying purposes and transparent knowledge sharing.

Outcome

A fresh new workplace for AMP that reflects flexibility, transparency and employer of choice innovations across 27,000m² of fitout including a training centre and function levels. WMK’s design set the new standard for all AMP’s offices, with WMK completing 45,000m² across Melbourne, Parramatta and Sydney in total.
