Challenge
Located on Ross Street adjacent to the university’s main campus, the Recruitment and Human Resources units occupy a 1,200sqm three-level heritage warehouse.
WMK’s brief was to create a fresh, light-filled space which provided a professional, corporate feel and communicates the university’s brand not only to staff and visitors, but particularly employment candidates.
Solution
As the ‘front door’ of the university for new employees, the recruitment unit on level one included a reception area with interview and conferencing rooms, a discreet waiting lounge, as well as open plan workspaces for recruitment staff and management.
Careful consideration was given to acoustics and AV technology as confidential meetings including video conferencing is common.
Outcome
WMK has created a fresh space, perfect for the university’s recruitment activities, within this existing heritage warehouse on Ross Street.
